These accessories let you work with 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch square drive sockets using 3/8 inch handles. The maximum recommended torque for adapters with 3/8 inch female drive and 1/4 inch male drive is 450 in-lbs. The maximum recommended torque for adapters with 3/8 inch female drive and 1/2 inch male drive is 2000 in-lbs. For FOD (Foreign Object Debris) applications, the use of sockets with a blue finish is recommended so that no coating will flake off.
